Metro

In the metrostations all wider gates have a barcode scanner. Use these gates to scan your barcode ticket by holding the ticket, face down, on the oval glass part of the gate. This should scan the ticket within a second. Some metrostations don't have gates. At those stations please use the scanner on the pole. You need to hold the barcode, face up, about 10 cm below the scanner. 

Bus and Tram

Scan your barcode ticket at the blue validator when entering a bus or tram. Hold your barcode ticket, face up, on the area with the contactless scanner sign. 

Scan barcode ticket when getting on and off vehicles

Scan your barcode ticket every time when getting on, off or when changing between vehicles. Forgetting to 'check out' the barcode ticket might cause it to stop working.
